About Sudiksha Foundation

Established in 2022, Sudiksha Foundation emerged with a mission to combat child labor prevalent in the impoverished areas of Lucknow city. Through sustained efforts, the foundation successfully reintegrated these children into the education system. This endeavor unveiled a deeper understanding: the issue of child labor is entwined with urban poverty, displacement, and violence, presenting complex challenges with no simple solutions.
Over the years, the underprivileged population in Uttar Pradesh has endured the repercussions of recurring communal violence, widespread unemployment, impoverishment, and frequent eviction and displacement of slum dwellers in urban regions. Sudiksha Foundation embarked on a transformative journey, initially focusing on providing formal education to urban underprivileged children. Eventually, this journey evolved to encompass advocacy for the rights of vulnerable groups.

Expanding its scope, Sudiksha Foundation engaged with women, youth, and other critical stakeholders to address various social issues such as human rights, violence against women, and communal harmony. This expansion led to the formation of two community-based organizations, amplifying efforts to advocate for marginalized communities.

Goal: Sudiksha Foundation’s overarching goal is to empower vulnerable and marginalized groups across urban and rural Uttar Pradesh through holistic empowerment strategies.

Strategies Adopted:

  1. Establishment of Education Centers: Sudiksha Foundation initiates education centers aimed at teaching, coaching, and safeguarding children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

  2. Livelihood Empowerment: The foundation focuses on enabling women and youth to access sustainable livelihood options, fostering economic independence and resilience within communities.
